Carraig Liath house is a purpose built Valentia stone house, which overlooks the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee with views of the sea, islands and the mystic Kerry mountains. Ideally located as a base to visit the famous Ring of Kerry or the Skellig Islands now an UNESCO heritage site, where boats trips depart daily and can be arranged on request. Carraig liath house consists of three large en-suite bedrooms, all tastefully decorated to a very high standard, with orthopaedic beds, power showers, hairdryers, tvs, tea and coffee and free high speed internet access , all with comfort in mind. Five minutes walk to Portmagee where you can sample traditional music on Friday and Sunday nights, and why not partake in the Irish night on Tuesdays nights. Why not relax and enjoy tea or coffee with some home baking on our newly designed patio where you can watch the boats come and go in the harbour. Open all year.

The picturesque village of Portmagee is within walking distance with its great pubs, restaurants, traditional music and dance. Overlooking Portmagee Channel with views of Valentia, Bray Head and the Atlantic Ocean. Things to do locally include a visit to Glanleam House & Subtropical Gardens, Valentia Heritage Centre, Valentia Island Ice Cream factory, producing award-winning ice cream in many flavours, Tetrapod Trackpads, laid down some 385 million years ago and so much more to see and do.

Situated in Portmagee, winner of the Ireland First Tourism Town Award, Reen Coast B&B overlooks Valentia Island and the Portmagee Channel. It is an ideal base for touring the beautifully scenic Ring of Kerry, a trip not to be missed, which passes close by. All the rooms have views of the sea and mountains, and have en-suite bathrooms, WiFi and TVs. On arrival you will be greeted by delicious home baking and tea or coffee.
